With his square jaw, arched eyebrows and receding hairline, Christian Slater has never been the conventional Hollywood hunk.
But on Sunday night the 42-year-old actor arrived at a TV industry event with a new haircut and colour and looking a bit more refreshed.
Christian attended the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena to talk about his TV series Breaking In.

His usual brown, slicked back 'do was replaced with a sharper, edgier dark blonde that his character Oz dons in the TV show.
And his hairline appeared to be making a surprise comeback, perhaps the result of a replacement procedure.
But the actor's face also looked different.
He looked more youthful and his eyes appeared more alert.

It's a dramatic new shift in appearance for the True Romance star who is often compared to a younger Jack Nicholson.
The father-of-two was a teen heartthrob in the Nineties, appearing in high profile movies, such as Interview With The Vampire and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Christian has commented on his distinctive look before and criticism that he apes screen legend Jack Nicholson.
He once said: 'If I make a move, like raise my eyebrows, some critics say I'm doing Nicholson.
'What am I supposed to do? Cut off my eyebrows?'
