Sims has appeared in films including The Benchwarmers opposite Rob Schneider and David Spade, and Yes Man with Jim Carrey, but it was her 2003 casting as Delinda Deline on NBC’s casino drama Las Vegas, that helped catapult Sims to fame.

Sims split from Thank You For Smoking actor Aaron Eckhart in late 2009. She welcomed son Brooks with husband Scott Stuber in June 2012.
